Welcome to the Site

I’ve coded this entire website from scratch and use WordPress as a CMS to hold it all together. I am using an open-source code writing platform called Brackets by Adobe to create all the inner workings. I’m sure it’s probably not perfect, but it gets the job done and I love it! Just like this website!

The site runs slow, I know. The front end may look alright, but the backend is a disaster to say the least. I have no idea how to properly format code or optimize it to be the fastest and or most efficient code on the web. I just write what works, kind of. My site “probably” works on most browsers, but there are definitely anomalies all over the place. I have tested it on Chrome, Safari, Opera and Firefox, but not on older browsers such as IE. I also have not tested it on Edge since I am a Mac guy, and Edge just has ridiculous compatibility issues. If your browser is quite old, it quite likely won’t work with this site and you wouldn’t have gotten this far anyway. I made my site rely on Javascript so those who have it disabled will unfortunately not be able to get past the loading screen. Should I code my site so you don’t need JS, but rather it just enhances it? Yeah, I should. But will I? Nope. I don’t know a single person who disables JS in their browser and honestly am not technical enough to avoid it.

I am working on the site as much and as frequently as possible, and I hope to have it fully up and running soon. There are so many small things that you would not even realize that goes into coding a website. It’s a great learning experience and I recommend everyone try it out. There is nothing like watching your code come to life.

If you notice any major issues with the website or have any complaints, concerns, or recommendations then please let me know! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
